Born in a farming family in Warangal district, Anugula Rakesh Reddy grew up witnessing both the dignity of labour and the challenges faced by rural communities. These formative experiences shaped the values that continue to define his public life—integrity, perseverance, humility, and compassion.
Education became a defining turning point in his life. It opened doors that once seemed beyond reach and instilled a lifelong belief that knowledge has the power to transform individuals, families, and societies.
At the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, he combined academic excellence with student leadership, serving as General Secretary of the Students’ Union. His achievements were recognised with a Gold Medal and the prestigious Karthikeyan Memorial Award, reflecting his commitment to both scholarship and leadership.
His journey then took him to leading multinational organisations, where he gained valuable experience in finance, investment banking, analytics, and strategic management before making the conscious decision to dedicate himself to public service through voluntary organisations.
Alongside his work in public life, Anugula Rakesh Reddy has also established himself as an author and columnist, using writing as a platform to share perspectives on economics, governance, public policy, and regional development. His publication, Telangana Economy, reflects his commitment to promoting informed discussions and contributing to meaningful public discourse through research and thoughtful analysis.
Today, as a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), he continues to work alongside students, youth, farmers, professionals, and communities across Telangana with the vision of creating lasting impact through responsible governance, knowledge-driven leadership, and people-centric development.
A Foundation Built on Values
Born on 11 May 1985 in Hanumakonda, Telangana, Anugula Rakesh Reddy was raised in a humble farming family rooted in the village of Vangapahad. Growing up in a rural environment, he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by farming communities and the importance of perseverance, discipline, and hard work.
The experiences of his childhood shaped his understanding of society and strengthened his belief that education is the most powerful instrument for transforming lives. Watching his parents work tirelessly to support the family inspired him to pursue excellence while remaining deeply connected to his roots.
The values learned during these formative years continue to influence his approach to leadership—placing integrity, responsibility, and service above personal success.
Education: The Turning Point
Recognizing education as the pathway to opportunity, Anugula Rakesh Reddy pursued his academic journey with determination and dedication. After completing his schooling in Warangal and intermediate education in Guntur, he continued his graduation at the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, where he completed graduation in Finance and Management.
Beyond academic achievement, his years at BITS Pilani became a defining period in his leadership journey. Elected as the General Secretary of the Students’ Union, he represented the interests of students, encouraged collaboration, and contributed to initiatives that strengthened campus life. His outstanding academic performance and leadership qualities also earned him the Karthikaya Award, recognizing his commitment to excellence.
These experiences helped develop the leadership principles that continue to guide him today—listening to people, encouraging participation, and working collectively towards meaningful solutions.
Professional Excellence with Social Commitment
Following his academic journey, Anugula Rakesh Reddy established a successful career by working with leading multinational corporations in India and abroad. His professional experience enhanced his understanding of finance, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and global business practices. He worked in Reputed Multi National Companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Citi Bank and Zynga – Facebook Games as Analytics Manager.
Despite a demanding corporate career, he never lost touch with his community. During weekends and personal time, he remained actively involved in social initiatives within his native village, believing that professional success carries a responsibility to contribute towards the welfare of society.
This unique balance between corporate excellence and grassroots engagement provided him with practical insights into both economic development and community empowerment, preparing him for a larger role in public life.
Education as a Mission
Believing that financial limitations should never prevent talented students from achieving their dreams, Anugula Rakesh Reddy established My India – Empowering Education, an initiative dedicated to supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The initiative provides educational guidance, scholarships, financial assistance, mentorship, and career support to deserving students, helping them pursue higher education with confidence. By working closely with educational institutions, community organizations, and mentors, the initiative seeks to create equal opportunities for young people and inspire future generations to pursue excellence.

In 2023, he joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), marking a new chapter in his public journey while continuing his commitment to serving the people of Telangana through inclusive development and people-centric leadership.
Building on years of organizational experience and grassroots engagement, Anugula Rakesh Reddy contested the 2024 Telangana Legislative Council (MLC) Elections. While the electoral outcome was not in his favour, the experience further strengthened his resolve to remain connected with the people and continue contributing to public life with dedication and purpose.
For him, public service extends beyond electoral success. Every interaction with citizens, every initiative undertaken, and every responsibility accepted represents an opportunity to understand people’s aspirations and work towards meaningful, long-term development. Guided by integrity, perseverance, and a commitment to democratic values, he continues his journey with the same passion for serving society and contributing to the progress of Telangana.

Anugula Rakesh Reddy’s commitment to society extends beyond public responsibilities. Through financial assistance for students, support for community infrastructure such as water facilities, and humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic—including the distribution of essential food supplies and hygiene kits—he has consistently worked to support communities during times of need.
